Outer Sunset is a San Francisco-based infrastructure company. We build software that makes Canton Network deployments operationally sound — starting with OS Ledger, the finance close stack for Canton validators.
Our focus
Canton is production-grade infrastructure for regulated industries. The software that runs on top of it — the tooling that handles financial close, compliance workflows, and operational audit — has mostly been left to operators to figure out for themselves.
We’re building that layer. Not as a consultancy, not as a protocol team. As a product company that ships narrow, deep software for the people who run Canton in production.
The team
Outer Sunset was founded by engineers and operators with backgrounds spanning enterprise financial systems, web3 infrastructure, and venture-backed startups. The team has built and exited companies in the Canton and broader web3 ecosystem, shipped production DeFi applications on Canton Network, and developed financial intelligence tooling at enterprise scale.

Why Outer Sunset
The name comes from San Francisco’s westernmost neighborhood — the end of the line, where the city meets the Pacific.
We think of Canton the same way: the edge of what enterprise blockchain infrastructure can do. We’re building the software that makes it operational.
